Principal's Message

UNITY
I DREAMED I STOOD IN A STUDIO
AND WATCHED TWO SCULPTORS THERE.
THE CLAY THEY USED WAS A YOUNG CHILD’S
MIND AND THEY FASHIONED IT WITH CARE.
ONE WAS A TEACHER, WHO USED THE TOOLS
OF BOOKS AND MUSIC AND ART:
ONE WAS A PARENT WITH A GUIDING HAND
AND A GENTLE, LOVING HEART.
AND WHEN AT LAST THEIR TASK WAS DONE,
THEY WERE PROUD OF WHAT THEY HAD WROUGHT.
FOR THE THINGS THEY HAD MOLDED INTO THE
CHILD COULD NEITHER BE SOLD NOR BOUGHT.
AND EACH AGREED HE WOULD HAVE FAILED
IF HE HAD WORKED ALONE,
FOR BEHIND THE PARENT STOOD THE SCHOOL,
AND BEHIND THE TEACHER STOOD THE HOME.

This poem guides my mission as an educator because I truly believe that together we are better.  When the moms, dads, grandparents, teachers, principals, and community members work together then we can make amazing things happen.  I look forward to working closely with all these important people to help all students succeed.

TUVE UN SUENO QUE YO ESTUVE EN UN ESTUDIO
Y MIRE DOS ESCULPTORES ALLI
EL BARRO DE ALTARERO QUE USARON FUE DE LA MENTE DE UN NINO Y LO FORMARON CON
    CUIDADO
UN FUE UN MAESTRO QUE USO LOS
        INSTRUMENTOS
DE LIBROS Y MUSICA Y ARTE;
UN FUE PADRE CON MANO GUIANDO
Y CORAZON AMABLE Y CARINOSO
Y CUANDO FINALMENTE SU TAREA FUE HECHO,
ESTABAN ORGULLOSOS DE LO QUE HABIA HECHO
PORQUE LAS COSAS QUE HAN MOLDEADO
 DENTRO DEL
NINO  NO PUDIERON SER VENDIDOS NI
            COMPRADOS.
Y CADA QUIEN ESTABA DE ACUERDO QUE
     FALLARAR
SI TENIA QUE TRABAJAR SOLOLA
POR QUE DETRAS DEL PADRE ESTABA LA
    ESCUELA
Y DETRAS DE LA MAESTRA ESTABA LA CASA
